Dear Mr. Allen:
Congratulations again on BAHA (Bay Area Homeless Alliance)'s inclusion in the Smithsonian Institution's Permanent Research Collection.
Now appearing on our web site, http://innovate.si.edu, is the complete 1999 Innovation Collection and list of 1999 Computerworld Smithsonian Award finalists.
Since its founding in 1846, the Smithsonian Institution has been devoted to the increase and diffusion of knowledge. The materials submitted on behalf of BAHA (Bay Area Homeless Alliance), along with a wide variety of artifacts and resources, enrich the Smithsonian's growing permanent collection on the Information Age, one of the most important of its kind in the world.
This collection serves a critical historical purpose by helping the Smithsonian Institution record the information technology revolution and the impact it has upon our lives. As part of the Smithsonian Institution's Permanent Collection, BAHA (Bay Area Homeless Alliance)'s Alleviating Homelessness Through Technology is a national treasure and a major addition to our documentation on the role technology plays in shaping our world.
Congratulations again on your achievements.
Sincerely,
[signed]
