HUD Contracted Technical Assistance

Our Technical Assistance helps communities make maximum use of their HMIS data and systems and guarantees healthy partnerships among continuum member agencies.

Community Technology Alliance has developed white papers and curricula that are delivered by HUD’s National Technical Assistance Team on how to develop data warehousing applications that can inform communities on solutions to homelessness and poverty.
Technical Assistance includes work with continua across the nation on best practices on HMIS- related issues ranging from continuum team building, data quality assurance, preparation and submittal of Annual Homeless Assessment Reports to Congress and disaster relieve efforts.  Our staff traveled to the Gulf Coast to assist local service providers in using HMIS immediately following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Because HMIS is required to be in place for all communities receiving federal Homeless Prevention and Rapid Rehousing Stimulus funds, the State of California called upon Community Technology Alliance to identify a solution for California communities that have not yet implemented HMIS and to assist in implementing that solution
